VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position within the Research Council of Zimbabwe (RCZ).
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing RCZ`s accounting system.
- Prepares Revenue and Expenditure Forecasts.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual financial statements.
- Co-ordinates the development of financial control systems that will ensure efficient and effective collection and disbursement of funds.
- Undertakes regular and proper reconciliation of all accounts.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Any other duty as assigned by the Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in any of the following areas:- Finance and Accountancy from a recognised university.
- Possession of other relevant post graduate qualifications would be an added advantage.
- Must have served at a manager or equivalent level for at least four years gaining relevant experience.
