Research Promotion and Publicity

Terms of reference

  • Be generally responsible  for the promotion of research and making appropriate recommendations to Council
  • Make recommendations on donations to Council
  • Make recommendations on grants to be  made by Council
  • Make recommendations on fellowships to be awarded by Council
  • Make recommendations on granting of honours and awards for outstanding achievements, invention, or discovery in the field of research
  • Make budget propoasls for the for going
  • Organise research symposia, conferences, workshops, seminars and related activities
  • Foster the publication of refered journals including e-journals
  • Foster the development of the RCZ information/documentation center
  • Oversee the updating and maintaining of the RCZ website
  • Oversee the development and management of the RCZ Database
  • Oversee the production of RCZ publications

About RCZ

The Research Council of Zimbabwe (RCZ) is a statutory body established in terms of the Research Act of 1986. It is mandated to promote, direct, supervise and co-ordinate research.
